Warmer Weather Ahead: High Temperatures Expected for End of the Week
As we approach the end of the week, temperatures are set to rise. Today, high pressure to our north will bring easterly winds, keeping the weather mild. However, by Thursday, the high will shift offshore, causing winds to turn southward, bringing back heat and humidity. Expect high temperatures in the 80s to low 90s today with plenty of sunshine. The heat index will be comfortable, feeling like the mid-90s.
Temperatures will rise above normal for the 4th of July, reaching the upper 80s along the coast and mid-90s inland. The heat index will climb to the mid-90s along the coast and 100-102 inland.
The hot and humid conditions will persist from Friday through the weekend, with heat index values exceeding 100. Coastal areas will remain mostly dry through Saturday, although isolated inland storms are possible. By Sunday, a cold front will stall to our west, increasing the chance of thunderstorms through Tuesday. However, the front is not expected to bring cooler temperatures.
